It was Homecoming our senior year. We just arrived at the dance after having a little pre-party cheer over at Jason Katcha’s house. Carlye Janasiak approached me and said “I’m going to ask the band if you guys (meaning Dave Bashaw, Jason Katcha and myself) can go up there and play a few tunes”. I told her go right ahead. I did not think she would really do it. She came back about 10 minutes later and said “it’s a go”. I thought…oh man! I was feeling pretty lit up from the pre-party drinking festivities. There was no way we could back down at this point. We went up there and did our thing. It all worked out pretty good in the end. That was a great night!
